“Be part of an experienced, friendly community of like-minded proud boat owners.”
– Ian Taylor Owner
There is an active Goldsbrough Boat Owners’ Club (GBOC). This is a club formed of people that have all taken advantage of our hard earned reputation of being quality narrow boat builders and are now proud owners of a top quality canal boat.
The club was founded as the result of a conversation between Christine Potter and Peter Sterry (ex Fox No. 4), whilst standing on the towing path at Brentford just after Polly Otter (No 6) had won both the Marion Monk Award for the best narrow beam pleasure craft and the Calor Gas Trophy for the best galley at the Inland Waterways Association National Rally in 1986.
These, and other national awards subsequently won by Stephen Goldsbrough Boats, highlighted Stephen’s ability as a craftsman of high quality and have been instrumental in shaping his boatbuilding career.
During the intervening years SGB has won many accolades both at Crick and the National Waterways Festivals.
